One of the biggest struggles I face, along with many others, is finding a hidden gem of a place to eat. Whether you're in a new city or looking to order takeout aside from your traditional go-to food place, it isn’t easy to come across local cuisine spots that are under the radar. To solve this headache, NextEat is an online platform that helps make the decision for the next time you eat out, consolidating a list of hidden gems with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The success of this app heavily relies on a combination of AI technologies, including Big Data analytics. Data is crucial in gathering restaurant suggestions, from their review scores, locations, menus, and social media presence. Using existing analytics of food trends and locals’ favorite places to eat, NextEat will be better able to offer users credible suggestions.

Moreover, through the use of Machine Learning, the software offers users a touch of personalization based on their recurring usage of the app. The more they interact with it, offering their likes and preferences, the better NextEat will be able to offer restaurant suggestions that match each user’s personality. Over time, it will understand individual eating habits, from your go-to brunch spots to your preferred post-workout meals.
